Types of Services provided: 

Driver Assessment and Rehabilitation

Our Occupational Therapists have undergone special training to conduct driver assessments for people who have had an illness or injury that may impact on their long term ability to drive 

Home Safety Assessments

Our Occupational Therapists assess a person's home environment. Potential issues (i.e. falls risks) are noted and recommendations made. Eg: installation of rails, provision of adaptive equipment, major bathroom modifications and ramp or step modification, provision of personal alarms etc.  

Falls Prevention Education

We help people to identify what their falls risk factors are and then aim to eliminate or minimize these risk factors. 

Equipment Prescription

Our Occupational Therapist are able to prescribe equipment to assist with improving quality of life. For eg; wheelchairs, scooters, bathroom equipment etc.

Home Modification Advice

Our Occupational Therapists are highly experienced in prescribing rails, ramps, steps and platforms. We can advise on bathroom modifications, housing design and access.We are familiar with and able to apply Australian Standards and design guidelines. The service includes liaison with builders and architects, provision of detailed reports and funding applications as required. 

Functional Skills Assessment

Our Occupational Therapist may complete; Personal care assessments, domestic assessments, community activities assessments, scooter assessments etc. 

Pain Management

Some of our Occupational Therapists have experience in utilising a variety of techniques to deal with chronic conditions such as Arthritis, Low Back Pain, Shoulder Pain and Fibromyalgia 

Injury Management and Advice (early intervention)

Our Occupational Therapists can complete a thorough assessment of the worker and the workplace and make recommendations to maximise the worker's capacity and assist them to remain at work. 

Workstation Assessments and Training

Our Occupational Therapists are able to tailor training packages to employer needs. We are able to train in Backcare and Manual Handling, workstation set up and injury prevention strategies
